JOB SUMMARY -- This critical role is responsible for providing on-site property installation and support services for new openings and conversions, both operational and technical. In this position, you'll travel extensively to a wide array of brands and cities and be a key contributor to a successful and on-time opening of the hotel. Must be comfortable to install, configure and troubleshoot technology remotely and assist third party partners.---- CANDIDATE PROFILE-- Experience and Experience

  • 3+ years' Information Technology experience that includes installation or support of hotel infrastructure (servers, LAN/WAN, PMS) and operating systems--
  • 1+ years' experience with hotel property management systems (e.g. Opera PMS)--
  • BS/BA degree or equivalent training and experience--
  • Ability to travel (-40%); generally within the continental United States
  • Must be in commutable range to a major market airport---- Attributes and Preferred Skills
    • User knowledge of Marriott property-based systems
    • PMI Certification or ITIL Certification
    • Agile/scrum experience
    • Experience in leading process development/improvement
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
    • Experience in leading teams; including problem resolution, negotiation and conflict management skills
    • Excellent organizational and communication skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Hotel operations experience--
    • Strong interpersonal/relationship management abilities
    • Comfort in executing software configuration remotely---- CORE WORK ACTIVITIES--
      • Able to travel to provide on-site installation services with short notice (typically 2 days on property)
      • Follows the approach for on-site/remote installations; adheres to timelines and schedules for property activities
      • Collaborates remotely with cross-functional onsite opening partners to meet technology objectives and deliverables--
      • Educates stakeholders on the new property opening and conversion services and support processes
      • Validates that Global Technology standards are established/maintained for systems in scope
      • Effectively utilizes project resources capital assets, internal services, etc.--
      • Adheres to department processes and standards for all openings, driving customer satisfaction, while delivering projects on time.--
      • Contributes directly to process improvement of New Property Openings.
      • Contributes to project and related training documentation and other relevant materials
      • Contributes to the technology installation and operational readiness for high profile opening/acquisition/conversion projects--
      • Documents core practices and processes to maximize efficiencies and ensure consistent work cycles that help to engage key constituents.
      • Analyze and socializes relevant metrics to influence the PSS openings/conversion objectives and drive process improvement
      • Assist in tactical technical tasks related to brand transitions and brand deflags-- Managing Execution
        • Manages communications with all key stakeholders throughout the implementation process
        • Executes the stage/configure/install server and workstation hardware and software for property-based systems
        • Tests property-based systems for full functionality onsite and remotely--
        • Identifies training needs/opportunities and manages delivery--
        • Coordinates with various internal groups to solve complex business and technical requests Managing Work, Projects, and Policies--
          • Coordinates and implements work and projects as assigned.
          • Complies with Federal and State laws applying to procedures.
          • Generates and provides accurate and timely results in the form of reports, presentations, etc.
          • Analyzes information and evaluates results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
          • Manages the flow of questions and directs questions. Supporting Operations
            • Works with team to put sustainable work processes and systems in place that support the execution of the strategy.
            • Establishes and maintains complete and up-to-date information to ensure accurate reporting.
            • Represents team in resolving situations.
            • Maintains and manages inventory and service operations. Additional Responsibilities--
              • Informs, updates, and provides information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person in a timely manner.
              • Attends and participates in all relevant meetings.
              • Presents ideas, expectations, and information in a concise, organized manner.
              • Uses problem solving methodology for decision making and follow up.
              • Maintains positive working relations with internal customers and department managers.
              • Manages time effectively and conducts activities in an organized manner.
              • Performs other reasonable duties as assigned by manager. -- The salary range for this position is $70,700 to $111,600 annually. In addition to the annual salary, the position will be eligible to receive an annual bonus. Washington Applicants Only: Employees will accrue 0.04616 PTO balance for every hour worked and eligible to receive minimum of 7 holidays annually.
