Job Description:
Ingredion is hiring a Summer Intern to support our Eastern
Region Accounts team in the US/Canada region in new product
development and creating customer valued solutions. The Summer
Intern will be responsible for developing/preparing food
formulations and prototypes for various customer and business
initiatives on a pilot plant and lab bench top scale utilizing Good
Manufacturing Practices.
They will perform research related duties as needed or assigned,
support internal and external customer request; execute on
analytical testing as well as document and prepare technical
reports with guidance from manager.
As the Technical Service Intern, your responsibilities will
include:
Managing work project(s) to meet project timelines and
deliverablesAnalyzing and understanding data, results and
scientific literature to advance projectsMaintaining a clean, safe
work environment. Follow established guidelines for good
housekeeping, GMPs, SafeServ and safetyWorking collaboratively with
Technical Service team members and other internal colleagues to
meet target objectivesPresenting prototypes, project status,
updates and outcomes to team and key stakeholdersMaking
presentations and writing technical reportsInnovative,
self-motivated and high level of enthusiasm for the jobHave a
passion for food science and curiosity for learningAre ambitious,
able to prioritize, well organized, detail oriented, good with time
management and deadlinesAre collaborative and can work well with
othersProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint,
Teams) Progress towards a Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Food
or Chemical Engineering or a related field with a minimum GPA of at
least 3.0/4.0 preferredMust have completed at least two years of
coursework with status as a sophomore, junior or non-graduating
senior.Ability to work 40hrs per week during the summer internship
termExperience with hands-on food concept development with
laboratory and/or pilot plant equipment is a plusKnowledge of
common food processes, food ingredient functionality and ingredient
interactions preferredExcellent organizational, communication
skillsReliable transportation required to get to and from facility
each work dayCurrently possess unrestricted authorization to work
in the United StatesCollaborate with direct Manager and Technical
Service team members and other internal colleagues to meet target
objectivesHave a passion for food science and curiosity for
learningAre ambitious, able to prioritize, well organized, good
with time management and deadlinesMotivated to demonstrate the
capacity to learn, utilize, and strengthen understanding of the
function of our products and how they interact with other
